Truth....

I love it when people rebut someone by posting "The Truth". I often wonder whose truth is really true??

When I hear someone start a conversational rebuttal with" let me tell you the truth" I instantly know that truth to that person is only what they believe in their mind. They obviously have NO respect for you or the truth you hold in your mind. If they did, they would phase their statement completely differently. Like, "this is what I heard", or "yes, but the way I heard it was.."

I hate to say this but.... When I try to have an intelligent political conversation, with MOST liberals, I get a complete denial of even a shred of truth in my statement, whatever it is. Many times, I get a solid refusal to even discuss my statement because it may be the same as Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich or God forbid...George Bush. You're just a hater! A conservative, a Limbaugh!

I saw the anointed one, on TV, you can even see it on You Tube, (though it is not real if you see Obama on You Tube or the internet) where he outlines openness (CSPAN) that has not happened, Grandma getting a pain pill in lieu of a pacemaker, heard him (on Radio) swear to put coal mining companies out of business and heard him tell SEIU members that single payer health care was a personal goal for him! All these are things that if I mention in a public forum get me accused of Racism, and right wing radicalism. Even by my family!!!!! Also, I AM accused of not telling the truth ("making it up") or whatever it is can not be discussed at all because it will be... heaven forbid...controversial. Where is the liberalism in that. If it's not YOUR truth, then it's a lie?? It's stupid, racist, homophobic, old fashioned and I shutter to say the word...conservative!! Whatever his skin color, this guy is no better than any other politician, to make more of him is bordering on idol worship.

Why is it acceptable for protesters to block our streets for bicyclist rights, but not for drivers right?? For anti-war protest, but not anti-terrorist protest? For anarchy but not for democracy? To celebrate Homosexuality but not Heterosexuality?? Why is Muslim prayer in public acceptable, but not Christian prayer? Why are we to treat the Koran with respect while we are expected to treat the Torah and the Holy Bible with indifference?? Whose truth is correct there??? Tell me... WHY?

Because you are better than others with differing opinions??? Yeah, right.

What a sad way to live. To not respect a person or their beliefs and opinions, and their God given right to feel as they feel and have their own opinion. To belittle them, condescend and accuse them, instead of respect and support the person for having strong convictions and fighting for them. To expect others to accept your ideas, opinions and choices then chastise them for having their own. Pretty sad in deed, but unfortunately, the way of many "Liberal" people live their lives these days.

In conclusion, if you don't like this post, fell free to ignore it. If it hurts your pride or makes you butt sore, I am truly sorry you feel that way, but in the end, it's my opinion, my thoughts. Unless you are Jesus Christ, or God himself you have no right to tell me I can not have them! (If you are God, then I praise you for giving me a mind and thoughts that are my own as well as a voice with which to shout them to the world.)

Truth

I do not want to appear to pick on one group or another, thats not my intention.  But today I heard the President say that, after all the promises about being able to keep our doctors, and current insurance, (Not to mention CSPAN, transparency, No lobbiests, no pork in the stimulus, Gitmo etc...), well here is the quote:

"We said from the start that it was going to be important for us to be consistent in saying to people ... 'You want to keep the health insurance you got, you can keep it,' that you're not going to have anybody getting in between you and your doctor in your decision making. And I think that some of the provisions that got snuck in might have violated that pledge."

Bush-Cheney, Clinton-Gore and Obama (Notice I don't include Biden).  I actually think Biden is pretty honest!  Can our leaders not tell the truth ever?  They obviously forgot that the people know how freaking read.  Anyone who has read the current reform bill has serious doubts about it.  From the IRS being the watch dog to the DMV being in charge of sign up.  For heavens sake, Pelosi really thinks prison for those not getting heath insurance is a good thing???  If you put them in prison, whos in charge of their health care then....Madam?  And republicans... tort reform is not the only answer.  Some doctors deserve to have the crap sued out of them!  I can name a couple!

It's too much, too fast, without input from the PEOPLE on what they think can be done to correct the current situation.  We ALL want some form of correction to the insurance system that is currently in place.  It needs a serious tune up!  But lets take our time, and do it right the first time, with input from the people, not just from those who will gain from the changes.  Be that gain power or money.   The people need to know the truth about what is in this and every bill. At this point, we can not trust our elected officials on either side of the aisle to give us the truth about anything.  Until we can trust those in office, they should be treated like a child with a lying problem.  Nod politely and investigate the facts.  We are tired of the lies, half truths and innuendo.  When will our voices be heard, damn you PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON DC, HEAR US!
